Visa on Arrival, also known as VOA, is the most common VISA amongst visitors to Indonesia/ Bali and it also has become the best choice for a short duration visit. Since the reopening of the VISA after the COVID 19 pandemic and up until November 2022, more than 1.4 million foreigners have entered Indonesia using VOA.  

In order to improve the service for foreigners, as well as to provide convenience in Visa processing, the Indonesian government has introduced e-VOA. The application of e-VOA is expected to make a marked contribution towards facilitating the entry of foreign tourists and business people from all over the world to Indonesia.   

Foreigners can use this VISA for: 

  1. Conducting activities related to tourism, and visiting friends or family. 
  2. Participating in meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions as an attendee. 
  3. Travelling within Indonesian waters on a yacht (yachter).

  3. Address of Accommodation in Indonesia (this information will be mentioned on the Visa)  
  4. Mother’s Maiden Name 
  5. Return flight ticket

  1. Birth certificate (under 18 years old) 
  2. Marriage certificate

  7. Immigration Headquarter office and Indonesian Immigration online VISA app are open from Monday – Friday and service time is from 08.00 – 15.00, except for National Holidays.

  10. Any rejection or any unsuccessful Visa Application due to change of government regulation is not our responsibility and VISA payment is non-refundable.

E-VOA must be obtained before entering Indonesia. You can apply for a nonelectronic VOA directly at time of arrival in Indonesia, both offer the same stay period & purpose of stay.

E-VOA can be extended once during your stay without leaving Indonesian territory. You shall receive another 30 days stay permit. After a total of 60 days expire, you are required to leave Indonesia, otherwise you will be charged overstay of IDR 1 million per day.

No, you can’t. You will be given 30 days stay and require to do the visa extension in order to get maximum 60 days of stay.
